A comparative study of a full-time and a part-time counseling program

For many years a difference of opinion has existed regarding whether San Lorenzo High School's teacher-counselor program could be implemented more effectively by full-time counseling. The majority of the claims made by the proponents of the two programs have been based upon limited observation. Experimental evidence has been presented in few instances to support the contentions of either side. It was the purpose of this study to investigate whether San Lorenzo High School's present teacher-counselor program could be implemented more effectively by full-time counselors.
