The historical development of the Millbrae Elementary School District

It is the purpose of this thesis to trace the historical development of the area which is currently known as the MESD of Millbrae, California from its earliest recorded beginnings and to set forth the historical development of each of its nine schools. The history of the area, the MESD, its nine schools, and how the city received its name, may be of interest to many residents of Millbrae and to educators in its schools.
