The affects a participants attitude has on his evaluation of a training program

This study surveyed the significance of participants to be in agreement with the training program's philosophy, if he is to evaluate the program as being a success. Without this agreement the program is assumed to be considered poor and evaluated accordingly. There were eighty-four managers and supervisors who took part in this study. The major findings were as follows: those who were in disagreement with the program's philosophies evaluated the overall program, which includes content and presentation, as being only fair or poor in quality; those who were in agreement, evaluated the program as being either excellent or good quality. The data indicated that all of the null hypotheses were rejected. There was significant difference in the proportion of frequencies in the managers and supervisors population who agree with the philosophical position of the instructor and the participant's respective course evaluation.
