The effect of a verbal stimulus on reading rate and comprehension for second grade students

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect a verbal stimulus had on oral and silent reading rate and comprehension. Specifically, this study analyzed and compared the effect a verbal stimulus had upon 136 second grade children. These children were asked to read orally and silently.
