What's yours and what's not: plagiarism challenges faced by international students in western writing

In this thesis, the author examines various reasons for plagiarism and what measures can be taken by both a student and the teacher to avoid its growth and foster the student’s success. Therefore, this essay will address the specific needs of international students in western academic writing and issues faced by the western educators in providing the students a sound, effective pedagogical environment. The primary aim for this thesis is to understand the reasons for plagiarism in college students, especially the international students, by looking at insights offered by various academics and scholars who have been researching in this field. The secondary aim will be to further explore possible solutions to avoid plagiarism in college writing, particularly in international students.
